The pharmacist who never clocks off

Is it safe to take them together?

You shouldn't need a pharmacy visit to find out. Bolus checks every medicine you take against every other one, plus your food, supplements and conditions, and explains what to watch for in plain language. All on your phone.

On-device No account No cloud
Built on FDA NDC DailyMed SPL PubMed STOPP/START v3
How it works

Three taps from worry to an answer.

No account, no setup, nothing to upload. Add what you take and Bolus does the rest, on your phone.

Step 1

Add your medicines

Scan a label or search by name, prescriptions and supplements alike. Every medicine you take is free to check, with no limit, forever.

Step 2

Bolus checks, on-device

Every pair, plus food, supplements and your conditions, cross-checked against a cited safety database. Nothing leaves your phone.

Step 3

Know what to watch for

Plain-language alerts with the mechanism and the evidence, a safer daily schedule, and a report you can hand your doctor.

Why it matters

Five bottles. Or fifteen.

The risk is rarely one dangerous pair. It's the quiet build-up across a whole regimen, the kind a busy appointment can miss. Bolus reads the whole picture and does the maths.

What Bolus does

A pharmacist's counsel, in your pocket.

Every capability below runs on the device. Safety is never behind the paywall.

Interaction checks

Drug-against-drug, food, supplement, alcohol and condition checks, run on your device.

Plain-language safety alerts

Ranked by what actually matters, written like a person, not a leaflet.

Every flag names its source

Each warning shows where it came from: MHRA, NICE, FDA/DailyMed, STOPP/START, CPIC and others where relevant.

Older-adult and polypharmacy checks

Cumulative anticholinergic, sedative, serotonin, QT and bleeding load, with STOPP-style flags where relevant.

A safer daily schedule

Timing and food rules worked out for you, so medicines that need spacing are not treated as ordinary reminders.

Reports doctors read

A calm patient summary and an evidence-heavy clinician PDF, with mechanisms, sources and medication history.

Personal safety profile

Kidney, liver, weight, conditions, allergies and PGx help Bolus tailor flags to you.

What-If simulation

Try a possible medicine change before anything is real.

Camera scan

Point the camera at a medicine label. If Bolus can identify it confidently, it helps add it. If not, it asks you to confirm or type the name.

Family Cabinet and Care Link

Keep profiles for people you help, and share dose status between phones when they can connect. Care Link is for nearby or periodically connected care, not live remote monitoring.

Emergency card and widget

Allergies and critical medicines on your lock screen and home screen. The widget shows only emergency-scoped information.

A lifelong medication record

An on-device history of what changed, what stopped, what was noticed, and what questions came up.

The film

Half a minute with the pharmacist who never clocks off.

30 seconds · sound on

Made to live with

Three themes, one careful interface.

The same calm, careful screens, in whatever suits the moment, and reports that read like a person wrote them.

Bolus in the Clinical Dark theme
Bolus in the Ember theme
Three themes

Clinical Light, Clinical Dark, and Ember.

Read comfortably in bright daylight or at 3am. Clinical Dark is a calm midnight navy for tired eyes; Ember is warmer still. The same careful interface, in whatever suits the moment.

Bolus daily schedule with dose timing and food rules
A day, planned for you

The right pill, at the right time, spaced safely.

Some medicines need keeping apart. Some need food, some an empty stomach. Bolus lays out your whole day so you do not have to work it out, and quietly flags the pairs that need spacing.

Bolus clinician PDF summary with PMIDs
Ready for the appointment

Two reports: one calm, one clinical.

Bring a calm, printable patient report to your appointment. Or hand your pharmacist a compressed, evidence-heavy clinician summary, with mechanisms, actions, and PubMed PMIDs, the kind of one-pager they will actually read.

No claim without its citation

Every warning explains itself.

Tap any flag and Bolus shows you the mechanism, where the evidence comes from, and how established it is. The engine is the truth; the screen is just the counter.

Questions

The things people ask first.

Does Bolus replace my pharmacist or doctor?
No, and it never will. Bolus is decision support: it helps you spot what to watch for and gives you a report to discuss. Always check with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.
Is my data really private?
Yes. There is no account and no cloud. Your medicines, doses and health details are read and checked on your phone, and never sent anywhere. You can switch on Airplane Mode and keep using Bolus, because it was never talking to a server.
What happens if I go offline?
Everything still works. The safety database and the engine live on your device, so checks, alerts and your daily schedule all run with the network switched off.
Where does the safety information come from?
Curated clinical pharmacology, grounded in named public sources: the FDA NDC directory, DailyMed labels, RxNorm, NHS dm+d, PubMed literature, STOPP/START v3, the ACB scale, CPIC, MHRA Drug Safety Updates and NICE guidance. Every flag carries a source badge. Pro adds the deeper mechanism and citation trail. These organisations do not endorse Bolus.
Is Bolus a medical device?
Bolus is designed as an informational decision-support tool. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or prescribe, and it is not a substitute for a doctor or pharmacist. We monitor applicable regulatory requirements as the product evolves.
How much does it cost?
Every core safety check is free, with unlimited medications and no account. Checking the whole regimen is the safety, so it is never behind the paywall.

Bolus Pro is £39.99/year or £129 once for life. Pro adds professional depth and care coordination: detailed mechanisms and citations, advanced personalised review, burden-over-time and What-If simulation, clinician PDF export, and Family Cabinet with sealed care packages.

Buy directly in the app on iOS and Android, or on the web; either way your device verifies the entitlement itself, offline.
Everyone, everywhere

Bolus reads, checks and explains in fifteen languages, right-to-left included, so a report is ready for any clinician.
